Description
Design of a 5,200 square foot addition and renovation of a turn-of-the-century house for use as the County’s new Public Library.

Project Highlights

• Designed to accommodate new library technology
• Historic house and addition were designed to comply with current fire, A.D.A., and building codes
• Raised first floor to accommodate flood plain
• Cast-in-place Concrete Floor System
• Adopted use of existing design elements including matching brick patterns, similarly scaled windows, compatible interior wood trim, decorative lighting and bay windows
• Prepared two renderings to assist in fund raising
• Existing structure on the National Register of Historic Places
• 1999 AIA Merit Award for Design
