Multi-phased project to restore and adapt the former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad roundhouse complex into a multi-purpose facility. Sidebar GDA rendering (top) depicts the facility used for heritage tourism, festival, and consumer events; and (second) depicting a public assembly function using a moveable seating system.

Study Highlights

  • Assist in fund raising and grant writing efforts
  • Develop program which may include uses such as a performance space, banquet facility, trade shows,conferences, conventions, arts exhibitions, historical
    interpretive exhibits, festivals and ceremonies
  • Preparation of drawings and cost estimates for the restoration and adaptive reuse of overall facility in multiple phases
  • Preparation of design and cost estimates for the construction of vehicular/pedestrian bridges and parking facilities to the Roundhouse complex
  • Intermodal Operations Center study to include both the Roundhouse and Airport Authority as they relate to the current Free Trade Zone applications
