Description
Renovation and adaptive reuse of a turn-of-the-century hotel. The $3 million conversion included the creation of a new first-floor office and restaurant, with housing designed for elderly tenants on the upper stories.
Project Highlights
- Original architectural elements, obscured in previous renovations were incorporated into the design
- Historic hotel was redesigned to comply with current fire, A.D.A., and building codes
- While employed by David Smotrich & Partners, Matthew Grove served as Project Manager, providing detailing, specification writing and coordination with engineers
