GDA conceived and designed a 6,000 sf interactive history museum to interpret the historic sites along the WHT National Scenic By-way. Double-purposing under used spaces at the town’s train station, GDA turned the waiting room into an orientation room, the track level corridor into a display of achieving local characters and storage rooms into a series of immersion spaces. A former ticket office in the building was used to interpret the local railroad history and includes many hands-on exhibits.
GDA created an orientation film and a 3D bicycle tour simulation of the national by-way. The museum was choreographed to receive a busload of children divided into three groups for a 90-minute visit.
