GDA led public meetings with the Jefferson County Commission and members of the community to determine the new use of this 8,000 sf Georgian Revival landmark. The project received design awards from the Jefferson County Historical Commission and the WV Preservation Alliance.   New uses included a new Courtroom Suite, County Clerk's offices and high density storage space.   GDA prepared a successful application for a state historic preservation grant for exterior restoration work.   Small additions were made including one connecting the old jail to the Jefferson County Courthouse, which hosted two US treason trials, that of John Brown's raid and the Battle of Blair Mountain.
