GDA was given the task of taking a 4,800 sf Victorian house and transforming it into a new library facility after two other firms had failed. The final design included a 5,200 sf two-story addition and renovation of the former residence. Flood plane issues forced the addition to be elevated above the ground floor of the residence. To carry the heavy loads, a two-way poured in place concrete system was selected for the addition. The project won an AIA award for design.
